mar 2, 1930 - 1930 ROMANOV Industries is founded

Description:

Romanov Industries is a Russian industrial giant founded by Alexander Romanov (b. 1901) in the year 1930. They specialize in heavy equipment like excavators and other industrial machines.

They strayed from that path and made the Carrier Family Plus in 1945. It was made after the war and was not made for profit or international success. It's purpose was simply to provide the public with a cheap option for transportation. Although the Carrier was actually very popular nationally in the years following the war, it was mainly due to being dirt cheap rather then being good. It was never sold commercially outside of the country, as it was never the intention.

The Carrier was basically just a public service and there was no intention to dive into the automobile market. In the years to come, the company stayed true to their industrial nature and didn't make another car model for a whole 67 years.

In May 1965, at a routine board meeting, Alexander Romanov died from a sudden heart attack at the age of 55. His son, Vadik Romanov (b. 1928), inherited his father's CEO position and kept the Romanov spirit alive.

Under the command of Vadik, Romanov Industries maintained their focus 100% on the industrial scene and over the years they grew into a international market leader in it's field, and still are to this day.

Sadly, Vadik was diagnosed with late stage terminal cancer in 1998. He resigned from his post as CEO following the news and gave command over to his son, Oberon Romanov (b. 1960), who is the current CEO of Romanov Industries. Vadik eventually succumbed to the cancer in 1999.

Oberon had a slightly different vision and longed to try his hand on making a car. It wasn't until 2012 though that Oberon made that happen, with the Comrad V16 Racetruck. Romanov Industries have since come out with a few cars, including the Dragster 2-Turbo V8 (2020), a newly released kit drag/track machine.

Despite experimenting with cars in later years, the company's main focus still remains in the industrial field.
