Description:

July of 1931, a strike was held between the telephone workers and the CNT ended after a civil guard killed thirty strikers. By the end of that year, a Socialist strike in Badajoz province resulted in the Civil guard killing eleven people. The government dismissed Sanjuro who unsuccessfully attempted to organise the coup against the government in August 1932. The industrial and agricultural workers blamed the government for the harsh repressions.
