Description:
Usually the Spanish government was controlled by military coups, dictators, and oligarchs elected by monarchs. These people were not in power at this point. They were mad about that. They were under the control of Franco. Him and his supporters hoped for a quick takeover, but they got rebelled against. This started a long civil war.
