Description:
The Popular Front was a coalition created by Manuel Azana in order for the left to unite and have a chance at winning the upcoming 1936 Spanish Elections. The Popular Front consisted of Socialist, Communist, Esquerra, and Republican Union party. On the other hand, the right had created the National Front, consisting of the CEDA and Carlists parties, in response to the formation of the Popular Front coalition.
