Description:

The Confederación Española de Derechas Autónomas (CEDA) was a political party in the second republic. CEDA was a catholic conservative party. The CEDA saw itself as an organization which protects/defends religion, family, and property. CEDA was set up to contest the 1933 election and embrace Fascism. The leaders of CEDA made a stable party organization which led the spanish right into an age of politics. CEDA wanted parliament to submit or they would try to eliminate it. CEDA had fascist rallies and claimed that they might lead a march on Madrid which was similar to the March on Rome from the Italian fascists.
