The effect of the Great Depression was felt throughout the world. Spain faced multiple economic problems and the country went into a state of distress. Spain's industrial production declined by 30%. Also they faced a drop in foreign trade. There was also a drop in imports and investments. These economic problems would add to the list of issues in the Second Republic. These issues would also lead to conflicts between the working class and the State and lead to the downfall of the Second Republic.
