aug 25, 1929 - Effect of the Great Depression

Description:

The Great Depression was an economic depression that begun in the United States and spread worldwide, affecting multiple countries such as Spain. During this time period, the Spain economy was in severe shape and the population and many industries to become angry. The extent to the depression was enough that the ruling class could no longer suppress the growing anger with brute force. This would be one of the reasons that Primo de Rivera would later resign as he was Prime Minister and dictator during this time period of economic depression. This economic crisis in Spain is also another reason that Spain would heavily support Republic Parties the following election and institute the Second Spanish Republic.
