Description:

A strike by Spanish miners in the Asturias region happened in the year 1934. Franco however, with the support of the military, stopped this protest. In a short amount of time he had troops and bombers go to Austrias to stop this event. Franco saw this sign of rebellion as "Anti-Spain". This is important because it establishes and shows how much power he really has in the government. Which will help him eventually win the Civil war.
