Description:
IDEA was renamed to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA). The changes made in 2004 reflect changes presented in No Child Left Behind. These changes presented RTI and the pre-referral process, and how it may be used in special education. This amendment also added that strategies used in the RTI model must be research based interventions.
