Description:

The Americans with Disabilities Act "prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, State and local government, public accommodations, commercial facilities, transportation, and telecommunications. It also applies to the United States Congress."

This law protects those with disabilities, as well as those who have a relationship or association with someone with a disability. The ADA requires that new buildings and public spaces be built within compliance that allows better access for those with disabilities.
