mar 1, 1986 - Handicapped Children's
Protection Act
Description:
This act was a major win for the parents and fanilies of children with disabilities. It gave parents more rights when advocating for their children. It was very important for parents to be able to make decisions for their children with disabilities. These rights are important in the school in evaluation and in the development of an IEP.
