Description:
The Asturian miners' strike was a major event which was against the Spanish Confederation of the Autonomous Right (CEDA). This took developed into a revolutionary uprising and was crushed by the Spanish Republican Army and the Spanish Navy. The troops used were moorish colonial troops from Spanish Morocco.
The Asturian Miner’s strike caused a reunion of the left wing coalition which causes them to notice that they need to rebuild the popular front because they are stronger together.
