feb 6, 1922 - Washington Naval Treaty
Description:
A main event which cause the Washington Naval Treaty was the fear of another war starting after WWI. The rising Japanese militarism was very passionate about this and wanted to reduce the risk of another war from starting. The five-power treaty was signed and agreed to prevent an arms race by limiting naval construction. The effect from this was that there was more security from the Washington Naval but this wasn’t entirely helpful as another war was still started. It also was a way to help the relieve the growing pains in East Asia.
