feb 6, 1350 - Trinity Hall is established

Description:

With the heavy decrease of clergymen due to the Black Death, Bishop Bateman created a new school to replenish those losses. This is not the only school that popped up due to the Black Death. Cambridge was the first college to react, created Trinity Hall, Gonville Hall, and Corpus Christi. Ten years and another pandemic later Oxford college followed suit and created Canterbury. Some more colleges continued to add on to their schools, but almost all did this to help the masses of clergymen recover.
