Description:
Azaña was blamed for supplying arms to Asturias inserructionaries which led an uprising against the new spanish republic. Azaña in turn was captured and interned to reveal whether or not he really supplied the asturian inserructionaries with arms but there was no further evidence supporting that he actually did it. This matter was further debated in the Cortes where Azaña defended himself in a three hour speech. The decision was that Azaña was an innocent man and did not supply arms
