nov 1, 1933 - November 1933 Elections
Description:
These elections were a turning point in which political party ruled the Spanish republic. INstead of the Socialist party taking part in most of the government, the Elections of 1933 determined that the CEDA party would take that position while also taking 115 seats whereas the socialist party only took 58 seats. Over the next few years Azaña's ideas were shot down by the CEDA party. There was total government gridlock.
