- Day 648
- Jesus was scared Ezekiel's group left as they weren't far behind him and took their time getting here. He says they had to find a good spot where they wouldn't be seen. Jesus undersold Alexandria to Ezekiel so he goes to have a look around.
- Denise looks at Rick's hand. After removing some gun fragments it'll be soar for a few days but will be fine. Rick jokes about having no hands left. Michonne asks Rick what happened five hours ago as he gave away their only advantage of surprise. Rick says Negan doesn't know how organised they are.
- Andrea enters and asks about Negan just assuming they're organised and preparing. Rick states that they won't let them prepare. They'll gather everyone in two or three days and hit them with everything they've got.
- Rick tells Carl that he's done well, though Carl doesn't think so. Rick wants Carl to stay and defend the community because it's not going to be safe here while they're gone. Carl tells his dad to make sure he kills Negan. Rick will.
- Jesus meets Rick outside his house. Jesus tells Rick that he's had better days and this whole operation falls apart without him. Gregory rolled over for Negan immediately and wants everything to be easy. Ezekiel kept his hatred of Negan a secret and is just following Rick's lead. Rick made an effort to change things, he's a leader they can all follow.
