The German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact was an agreement signed August 23rd 1939 by Germany and the Soviet-Union that had them agree not to take military action aainst eachother for the next 10 years.
CAUSES & EFFECTS
CAUSE 1- Soviet leader- Joseph Stalin viewed it as a way to help his nation in peaceful terms with Germany and give him time to build his military.
CAUSE 2- Germany wanted to invade Poland unopposed.
EFFECT 1- Germans unopposed invasion on Poland.
EFFECT 2-Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. The Soviets had some trust in Germany so it was a suprise when they broke the pact and invaded,
