The Washington Naval Treaty or the Five-Power Treaty, was a treaty signed in 1922. this treaty was signed by all the victorious nations of World War I. This treaty took place at the Washington Naval Conference from November 1921 to February 1922. The governments who signed it were the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Italy, and Japan. With this treaty signed they limited the construction of war machines like battleships, battlecruisers and aircraft carriers.
