Description:

The first basic phone was created by an Italian innovator named Antonio Meucci in 1849. It was Alexander Graham Bell who was credited with bringing it to the markets in the U.S and for inventing what the first type of telephone on the market. The first words ever spoken over the telephone were ‘Mr Watson come here I want to see you.’ they were spoken by Alexander Graham Bell to his assistant Thomas Watson.
Significance-
The significance of this invention was that it enabled people to communicate much easier and quicker. This meant that news and warnings could be spread easier and quicker during natural disasters, wars, attacks, etc. As well as people able to be used in everyday life.
