apr 16, 1916 - Gas Masks (when they were made)

Description:

During ww1 trench warfare was the most common type of fighting, and an effective way of killing your opponents was to release poison gas. In the battle of Ypres the Germans used poison gas which suffocated and killed the unprepared Allies. To stop gas attacks like this in the future, the allies made the first gas masks which helped them win the war.
