After Hindenburg passed, Hitler proclaimed himself president, chancellor and army chief simultaneously. Armed forces leaders were obliged to take a personal oath of loyalty not to Britain, but to Hitler. Which officially turned Hitler to became Germany's absolute ruler.
In 1933 he rose to power as Germany's president, and in 1934 as Fuehrer. He launched World War II in Europe during his rule from 1933 to 1945, by occupying Poland on 1 September 1939.
