apr 14, 1912 - Titanic crashed
Description:
The Titanic also known as The RMS Titanic was a ship sailing from Southampton (South of England) to New York City (East of America). The ship carried around 2,224 people on board when the sank. The cause of the boat’s accident was an iceberg hit the ship and the ship wasn’t strong enough to withstand the hit, so it sank and killing around 1,500 people. The reason why lots of people died on the boat, was because there weren’t enough lifeboats for everyone to fit in and also since the boat sank in the early morning, the waters were below freezing temperatures. The significance of the event was that after the crash they made laws that all ships/boats must have enough lifeboats for everyone on board.
