Description:
The American Declaration was that the thirteen colonies in America had been at war with Britain for a year when it was decided it was time for the colonies to officially declare their independence. This meant that they were breaking away from British rule and empire. They would no longer be a part of the British Empire and would fight for their freedom. The significance of the event was that it made America a country and not ruled by the British.
