apr 26, 1626 - 1626 England takes over New York

Description:

Before, unlike many other places, there were no large plantations, and slaves could live together closely in New York. However, after England took over the land and renamed it as New York, they created laws that restricted the slaves. They built slave markets to increase the number of slaves being imported, and the population of slaves grew. Further restrictions included discouraging marriage, prohibiting gatherings, etc.
