nov 23, 1954 - Emmit Till Incident. o The Emmet Till incident is one of the many lynches that sparked the civil rights movement as a whole. Emmit Till was wrongfully acussed of talking to a white woman in the store and was then beat by the woman's relatives before being lynched afterwards, he was only fourteen years old.
