Muckrakers- Group of investigative journalists that thrived on exposing social injustices and corruption. They aimed to raise the public's awareness of poverty, diseases, working conditions, and other social issues in order by publicizing scandals and festering social issues. The most famous was Upton Sinclair and his book The Jungle, which exposed the meat industry, Without the muckrakers, the Progressives would have never achieved the support that they did.
