jul 20, 1810 - Colombia's Independence Day

Description:

(Spain) The French attack of Spain in 1808 made many different people do many different and conflicting things. In 1810 most of New Granada, which is now Colombia, threw out their Spanish officials. The day that is now recognised as Independence Day is July 20, 1810 when there was an uprising in Bogata. New Granada didn’t claim independence untl 1811.
