The Treaty ended Germany's state of war with the Allied Powers.one of the main reasons why the treaty of Versailles was put into place was to try and stop the German army from attacking any other countries. another reason why the treaty was put into place was that the people wanted peace and their land to be rebuilt so they had to get their money from someone and because they blamed Germany they had to pay the price.
the first effect of the treaty was that Germany had to repay in reparations for all of the damages that they made or that happened because of the war. the second effect of the treaty was that Germany had to disarm there military and give a lot of their equipment to the other countries.
