The League of Nations was established to prevent future world conflict. The League consisted of over 40 founding countries. However, when World War 2 came around the League would fail to come to an agreement.

Causes:
1 - The first world war showed how unstable the world's politics were. The world needed a committee to act on global issues order to prevent any future world wars.

Effects:
1 - The League continued to failed to resolve political issues which led to Hitler seeing opportunity and invading.
2 - Many conflicts occurred due to the League of Nations' inability to resolve problems.
