Description:
Daniel Webster and Alexander Baring (first Baron of Ashburton) met in 1842 and talked about many things. The treaty settled the boundaries of Maine and New Brunswick and series of agreements on US/British relations were made. The treaty is named after Daniel’s last name and that Alexander Baring was the first Barion of Ashburton.
