Description:
The Xerox PARC Alto or just Alto for short is introduced. It became a groundbreaking invention that undoubtedly shaped the computer industry. It had a graphical interface, icons, and a new and improved mouse made for the computer, working with other Altos to create a local area network. It could also share files and print documents using a Xerox advanced laser printer, it had a word processor titled Bravo, a painting program, a graphics editing software, and email. The Alto has most likely inspired a lot of the computers that would eventually come out during the rest of the 70’s up through the mid 90’s.
