7h 24min, jul 27, 1953 y - Cease Fire

Description:

In January of 1951 the UN forces pushed back communists to the 38th parallel and from there the war is forced into a stalemate. In order to end the stalemate Eisenhower was convinced that only strong action would break the stalemate. When peace talks threatened to fail he hinted that he might introduce nuclear weapons into the conflict. That warning along with the death of Stalin convinced the Communists to resolve the conflict. After slightly more than three years of fighting, the two sides signed a cease-fire that is still in effect today.
