Description:

The stalemate was a prominent issue discussed during the election of 1952. Dwight Eisenhower promised to end the war if elected. After being elected, he visited Korea and learned about the situation in the war. When peace talks were failing, Eisenhower threatened by hinting at using nuclear weapons. With the death of Stalin too, the war lead to a ceasefire.
