aug 23, 1939 - Signing of non-aggression pact

Description:

On this day, Germany and the Soviet Union signed a pact, in which they declared that they wouldn't take military action against the other for the next ten years. Stalin signed this deal in order to rebuild the Soviet Union in peace. Meanwhile, Hitler signed it in order to invade Poland without having to worry about the Soviet Union.
