Description:

Appeasement had not worked with Hitler in WWII, so President Harry S. Truman declared that the U.S. would aid South Korea. He did not ask Congress for a formal declaration of war, but the UN resolution supported him .Troops from Japan were moved to South Korea, unprepared for what they would have to face.
