The "Forty Elephant Gang" was the worst group of thieves of all time. They stole from several stores at the west end of London, UK and raided the rest of the country but especially London. There were many female shop lifters and hid the merchandise in their hats, coats, pants, shoes, etc... Any way to steal whatever they found.Added to timeline:
