Bleeding Kansas was an event due to the approval of popular sovereignty people flocked to Kansas and Nebraska to attempt to sway the decision to have or not to have slavery. Civil War Trust (2017) ¨The toe factions struggled for five years wit sporadic outbreaks of bloodshed that claimed fifty-six lives¨ In the end both states commissioned antislavery constitutions, but the violence trouble the nation. This is the first look into how much people are willing to fight to abolish or to keep slavery.
