Description:

Dalton studied the masses of tin oxides and found that the masses of it were comprised of different elements. He came to the conclusion that combined elements will form ratios. He used an atomic theory of matter to come to this conclusion. This shows us that each chemical element is composed of atoms, and they can not be altered or destroyed. But they can be used to make chemical compounds. The law of multiple proportions were used to come to these conclusions.
