President Barack Obama announces on September 23 that the U.S. Department of Education is inviting each State educational agency to request flexibility regarding some requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. The no child left behind act is an act that helps to insure kids who are having trouble learning get help. They organized this by creating a Title l program that students come in early before school to get extra help on certain days and teachers will help the students to make sure they understand the material. In 2012, President Barack Obama announces on February 9 that the applications of ten states seeking waivers were approved for the No Child Left Behind Act .Added to timeline:
