dec 1, 1779 - Samuel Crompton's Spinning Mule
Description:
The Spinning Mule was an invention used in the Industrial Revolution. This invention was a power driven machine that had the combined values of the Spinning Jenny and the Water Frame. The Spinning Mule was a significant contribution to the English cloth industry during the earliest part of the Industrial Revolution. The mule was considered more greater than that of the Spinning Jenny and the water frame because it had anywhere from 200 to 300 spindles that made a fine strong yarn that doubled the ranks that could be spun from a pound of raw cotton.
