Description:

The Present witch kills a government official when he and his friend are attacked. Turns out his friend was an agent and was sent to spy on him and get info on his coven. When he failed to report that info they were attacked in order to draw out the witch's power and sentence him to death. It costs the lives of three agents and the gov used it as an excuse to start a war with the witches.

The present witch is to be burned at the stake, but just as they light the pyre, he disappears, sucked into the future.

The gov claims that he escaped using magic and they are hunting for his accomplices. He goes down in history as a fugitive whose crimes strated the war.
