The U.S government wanted to stop the conflict between tribes, that affected settlers. In this treaty, the Lakota were given the Black Hills. It gave tribes 50 thousand dollars in exchange for not harming white poeple and the Indiguouse people would stay in federlized tribal teritoies that were lines drawn on maps.Added to timeline:
