Description:
- For a very long time, computers were seen to be something that only the specialized people could use. It was technical, and required large computers to read punched cards and process for hours before results came out. At the form that it was at, it never would have become the computer we see also everyone use today.
- GUI set the stage for modern computer interfaces. By allowing anyone who could type and point and click a mouse use a computer, anyone could use a computer.
- While the GUI when it first came out may have had a steep learning curve at first, now, modern GUI's allow anyone to use a computer. By minimizing the learning curve, more and more people can use computers and contribute to the development of computer sicence.
