She listens as the former whaler she became acquaintances with tell old stories about Whitby. He tells her that many of the gravestones in St. Mary's churchyard are empty, that they drowned at sea and their bodies were never recovered. He later says that the grave that Lucy is sitting on is the grave of someone who's suicide was re-framed as an accident.Added to timeline:
