The UCGSC Courier ship was placed back in action as a fast-moving emergency relay station in 1952. Additionally, it transmitted the “Voice of America”-an American radio news outlet for international audiences-through its onboard studio. Most notably, the ship relayed information from US spies in the Soviet Union back to US soil.
