Description:
Binary was a perfect method to interact with these new mechanical computers with, allowing programmers to give their computers instructions based off of simple on/off switches. These would activate or deactivate different parts of the computer.
1. The usage of the base 2 system in computer programming became the basic foundations of all computer hardware and software in the future.
2. Binary allowed the program to be understood by hardware, as a on signal could be expressed by the presence of electrical current, and an off would be the absence of said current.
3. The basic 1 and zero system was easy to learn and understand, and would later be modified to be compatable with more user friendly coding languages
