jan 4, 1945 - ENIAC is built
Description:
The first electronic general-purpose computer, ENIAC, was able to perform an array of tasks, and further proved that computers were of use. Although this computer was originally for military use, it was able to serve many other functions as well.
At the beginning of WWII, many were still skeptical about the purpose of the computer. At the time, it would take mathematicians hours to make a single military calculation, but the ENIAC sped up the process, further inculcating the computer's versatility.
