may 25, 2200 - The first flight of
the Juno Mark IV
Description:
The first successful use of the now dubbed Jakomouri Slip-drive allows the Juno MK.4 to reach Mars. Sensor data combined with Orbital imagery reveals a five mile deep, sixteen mile long trench carved into the Martian surface. It is believed this is the final fate of Heinz Jakon and Mako Mouri, as surface data from the trench indicates its surface its littered with a microscopic layer of hull material from the Juno MK.2. A memorial service is held where the gathered remains of the ship are set adrift on a course to interstellar space. No one on earth can truly begin to comprehend the reality of what has occurred to the two scientists.
