aug 16, 1832 - Wilhelm Wundt

Description:

WIlhelm Wundt introduced the concept of introspection which is the process of reporting on one's conscious mental experiences. Furthermore, he defined the theory of Structuralism which proposed that the mind operates by combining subjective emotions and objective sensations. Because of the fact that he was the first to set up a psychological lab in Germany, he is regarded as the Father of Psychology. Not only was he the first to set up a lab, he also instructed 186 students to help spread his work. Despite Wundt being the father of Psychology, his method of introspection did not remain a fundamental tool in psychological experimentation past the 1920's.
